Wade Studio is a photo/film/event rental studio company.

We offer built-in cycloramas, oliphant backdrops, and industrial-style windows for beautiful natural light. Most importantly – we’re located in downtown Toronto. We designed our studios differently than most: one as a beautiful space to pop in and shoot with enormous south and west facing windows for inimitable natural light, and the other as a highly equipped workshop with high-end lighting gear for serious professional photography. Our goal is simple: to satisfy the high demands and needs of photographers, videographers, and producers all over the GTA… with a variety of creative choices and ample equipment to make your dream shoots happen.

Studio 1

Our main studio located at 87 Wade Ave and offers a cyclorama wall, high end lighting equipment, a plethora of light modifiers, V-Flats, Oliphant Backdrops and 2 free parking spaces at all times.

Studio 2

Our second space differs from Studio in one major way: which is the abundance of natural light and charming industrial loft aesthetic. We offer v-flats, bounce, and 1 B10X Profoto Strobe that has bluetooth and continuous light to help give you more control over your final image.

Our entire equipment inventory is included in our rates.

Backdrops are charged at $20 flat rate if they are rolled onto the ground (for full body use). If not, no charge.

You can book other times like 1,3,5 etc. at the scheduling page.

How do I book?

1. Hit Book Now anywhere on this page. You can also just call or email us anytime. Please note that payment is needed upfront for all bookings and must be done online.

2. Receive codes from us as soon as you book online to get in the door. Parking instructions and our standard studio policies are also sent in the confirmation package.

Once I’m in what happens?

Step 1. Blast your music from our in-studio sound system with sub-woofer.

Step 2. Have a coffee a matcha tea.

Step 3. Shoot with our Profoto lighting equipment on our dec wall, brick wall, cyclorama, or wide array of coloured backdrops.

Step 4. Clean up.

Step 5. Just walk out. Door locks automatically.

We do not supervise however please be advised there is a security camera recording at all times to record arrival, departure, liability, backdrop use and crew count.

Are there strict policies?

Clean up after yourself. Rip up any tape and glitter is a a big no no.

How do I get in/out?

A keycode is sent to you 1 hour before your booking time for arrival and no need to lock up as the door automatically locks after 5 minutes.

How do I use the backdrops?

You can mount the vast array of seamless on our extendable crossbar and various c-stands. The seamless paper backdrops are rated at $20 per use up to a length of 8 feet on the ground. However if the backdrop does not touch the ground then you can use it for free!
